Sandhi Puja 2023: Durga Puja, the Hindu Religious community’s annual festival going to start on October 20 this year. The festival will end by Shuvo Bijoya Doshomi on October 24. Sandhi Puja is called the most important part of Durga Puja which is celebrated on Maha Ashtami Tithi. This year, the puja will be celebrated on October 22 and Kartik 04, 1430 based on the Hindu Calendar.
Sandhi Puja 2023: Date and Time
As we know, Goddess Maa Durga came to her father’s home in Puja Time. She will leave the home after the Bijoya Doshomi. This year Durga Puja will take place from October 20, 2023, by Maha Sasthi. After that, Maha Saptami on the next day. On October 22, Maha Ashtami Puja will start as per the Calendar.
On that day, devotees will celebrate Sandhi Puja along with Kumari Puja during the Ashtami Tithi. It is said that the time of the Sandhi Puja is considered the most auspicious tithi during the whole festival, Durga Puja.
This year, Sandhi Puja 2023 will take place on October 22, 2023. The Puja is being celebrated in the last 24 minutes of Saptami Tithi and the first 24 minutes of Navami Tithi. So, this year the Puja will begin at 08:04 PM (Bangladeshi Time) and will end at 08:52 PM.

Maha Ashtami Tithi 2023
According to Drikpanchang, Maha Ashtami Tithi will begin on October 21 at 10:23 PM. The tithi will last for 22 hours and 5 minutes. So, Ashtami Puja to be end on October 22, 2023, at 08:28 PM. In the last 24 minutes of Ashatmi which means 08:04 PM to the first 24 minutes of Navami Tithi, the most auspicious Sandhi Puja will be celebrated.
On the day, devotees will light 108 earthen lamps during the tithi. They will pray for good health and wealth to Maa Durga through earthen lamps.
