As per the report, the incident took place today, Monday (September 9). If you inter on Prothom Alo website, you will see a notice which added by the hacker.
The hackers have left a notice on the website, which reads as follows:
“Dear Matiur Rahman Sir and the Prothom Alo Team,
I want to clarify that I am not your enemy, nor do I have any intention of harming the assets of Prothom Alo, the most widely read and trusted Bengali newspaper in the country. However, I must highlight a significant security flaw in the Content Management System (CMS) developed by Quintype Technologies India Limited, which you use for online news distribution.
This vulnerability could be exploited by malicious individuals or organizations to alter, edit, or publish false information using Prothom Alo’s credibility, potentially spreading rumors among the public.
I am issuing this message to alert you to this threat. I am willing to present all the security flaws to your technology department and executive officials and work together to resolve the issue quickly. Please contact me at (Email address).”
