Faridpur: A total of 21 students from a Madrasah located in Nagarkanda upazila of Faridpur District were injured due to lightning. Among them, 11 students have been admitted to Upazila Health Complex.
As per the report, the incident took place on Monday (May 6) evening. Students of Madinatul Ulum Madrasa in Upazila Sadar were injured in the lightning strike. All of them are students of class 3 under the Noorani section of that madrasa.
MD Hossain, teacher of the madrasa said that the students stand on the balcony of the madrasa building during the rain. Suddenly there was lightning in the madrasa field. For this, 21 students of the Madrash were injured. Madrasah teachers and other students rescued them and admitted them to Upazila Health Complex.
