This year’s HSC Result 2024 will be calculated using a subject mapping method, combining 25% of JSC and 75% of SSC scores. The education board has already gathered the necessary information and documents from the students.
Sources from the education board revealed that for subjects where no exams were held, 25% of the JSC marks and 75% of the SSC marks will be used to calculate the final results. This proposal was made by exam controllers of the education board.
Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, told Epi Express that a proposal outlining how the HSC results will be determined has been sent to the ministry last week. He declined to comment further until the proposal is approved, to avoid potential complications.
Last week, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee submitted the result calculation proposal to the ministry, which is currently under review. A decision is expected soon.
This year, a total of 14,50,790 students appeared under the nine general education boards, technical board, and madrasa board.
