The HSC Result 2024 of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams are expected to be published in mid-October. The date has been confirmed by Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board and President of the Inter-Education Coordination Board subcommittee.
The results will be prepared following the Ministry of Education’s guidelines, and the official announcement will be made as soon as a date is finalized.
In a conversation with The Daily Campus on Wednesday, September 25, Professor Sarkar mentioned that while the exact date has not yet been confirmed, a proposal will soon be sent to the Ministry of Education. “Once the ministry approves the date, the results will be announced accordingly,” he said.
According to a source within the Inter-Education Coordination Board, the results will likely be published between October 12 and 18. A final date will be decided during upcoming board meetings, after which the proposal will be sent to the Ministry for approval.
A board chairman, speaking anonymously, confirmed to The Daily Campus, “We will soon hold a meeting to determine three potential dates for the result announcement. These dates will then be sent to the Ministry for final approval. The results will be released on the date chosen by the Ministry.”
It has been decided that for subjects whose exams were canceled, results will be calculated based on students’ previous SSC and equivalent exam performances. For subjects where exams were held, results will be prepared according to full marks as instructed by the Ministry of Education.
This year’s HSC and equivalent exams started on June 30, with 1.45 million students participating. However, after the first eight days of the exams, disruptions caused by the quota reform movement led to the postponement of exams scheduled for July 18.

The government then suspended the exams in three more phases. The exams resumed in August, but by that time, students had already begun protesting, demanding the cancellation of the postponed exams.
On August 20, students held a protest at the Secretariat, forcing the Ministry to cancel the remaining exams. As a result, only the completed exams will be considered for this year’s results.
The Ministry of Education confirmed that students from nine general education boards, as well as technical and madrasa boards, participated in this year’s HSC exams, amounting to a total of 1.45 million examinees.
