Earlier in the running month of June 2023, the most popular smartphone company Samsung released its June 2023 security update for the Galaxy S20 series in Europe. Now, the company has rolled out the new security update for the Galaxy S20 units in the US. As per the report, the phones that have unlocked models are getting the update in the country.
As per SamMobile, the software update bearing firmware version “G981U1UES5HWE1” comes for the unlocked version of Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra in the US. It is said that the update rolled out in the June 2023 security patch which fixes at least 60 security flaws in the Samsung Galaxy Tables and Phones in the last software version. Currently, almost all the network carriers have made the update available in the US on their networks.
How to install Galaxy S20 June 2023 security update?
If you are Galaxy S20 Series unlocked version phone user, now you can check for the Galaxy S20 June 2023 security update. If you want to do that, you will have to open the settings from your phone. After that, tap on Software Update and tap on the Download option. Once the downloading process is completed, simply tap on install.
In addition, you can also able to flash the firmware manually. For this, you will need to download the latest firmware file from the Samsumg Database using the Odin tool that is available on Windows PC.

Earlier, the company launched the Samsung Galaxy S20 series with Android 10 onboard in 2020. The Galaxy S20 series phones received the Android 11 Update at the end of 2020. On the other hand, the phones received Android 12 update in 2021 and Android 13 in late 2022. It is assumed that Android 14 will be the last biggest Android Update in this series.
