The HSC and Equivalent Exams for the year 2024 has postponed till August 10, 2024. The postponed exams under Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board will be held from August 11. The Exam will be taken based on the new schedule.
Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed this information today, Thursday (August 1). A notice has issued in this regard on the Inter-Education Coordination Board.
It is said on the notice that, due to unavoidable circumstances, all board exams scheduled to start from August 4 have been postponed. The postponed exams will now commence from August 11 according to a new schedule.
Previously, the Inter-Education Coordination Board had postponed eight HSC exams in three phases. The exam that scheduled to held on July 18, postposed in the first phase. The original dates for these exams were July 28, 29, 31, and August 1.
Initially, considering student safety, the board postponed the HSC exams scheduled for July 18, 21, 23, and 25. Subsequently, another notification postponed the exams on July 28, 29, 31, and August 1.
On July 18, the morning exam was Geography (Theory) Paper 2, and in the afternoon, it was Classical Music (Theory) Paper 1, Arabic Paper 1, and Pali Paper 1.
As per the HSC Routine 2024, the morning exams of July 11 included Chemistry (Theory) Paper 1, Islamic History and Culture Paper 1, History Paper 1, Home Management and Family Life Paper 1, and Production Management and Marketing Paper 1.
On July 23, the morning exams were Chemistry (Theory) Paper 2, Islamic History and Culture Paper 2, History Paper 2, Home Management and Family Life Paper 2, and Production Management and Marketing Paper 2.
Lastly, the morning exams for July 25 included Economics Paper 2 and Engineering Drawing and Workshop Practice Paper 1.
Note that, the Madrasa Education Board and Technical Education Board exams were also postponed due to floods and the ongoing situation.
