The application process for Xi Class Admission 2024 for students who have recently passed their SSC exams begins today, Sunday (May 26). The online form submission period will continue until June 11. Students can apply for 11 Class Admission directly from the official website.
As per the report, about 8 lakh seats will remain empty in the country’s colleges even after the process is completed. Many colleges will not be able to fill the necessary number of seats, according to sources.
Classes for the new academic year in Class XI will start from July 30. The Ministry of Education has already published the admission circular for the academic year 2024-25. This year, 2,024,192 students participated in the SSC and equivalent examinations, out of which 1,672,153 students passed and will be eligible for admission into Class XI.
According to the SSC Result, 182,132 students got a GPA of 5. There are approximately 25 Lakh seats available for HSC Admission across educational institutions in the country. Even if all the students who passed the SSC exams are admitted, about 827,000 seats will remain vacant. However, there will be competition among students with GPA-5 for admission into the top colleges.
Data from the Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS) also indicates that a total of 25 Lakh seats are available in Higher Secondary Certificate Admission across the country. Of these over 500,000 seats in the capital alone. This year, about 1,672,153 students passed the SSC and Equivalent Exam from 11 boards under the Secondary Education Board. As such, at least 800,000 seats will remain vacant.
According to the Xi Class HSC Admission Notice, the 1st Merit List of the selected students will be published on June 23. These students must confirm their admission by June 29. After that, the second phase of applications will start on June 30 and will continue until July 2.
The results for the second phase will be published on July 4. The 1st Migration Result will be available on the same day based on preferences. Confirmation of admission for the second phase of selected students will begin on July 5 and continue until July 8.
In addition, the third phase of applications will begin on July 9 and will continue until July 10. The migration results for the second phase and the results for the third phase will be published on July 12. Confirmation of admission for the third phase must be done between July 13 and 14.
The admission process for all selected students will start on July 15 and will continue for 10 days. The admission process for Class XI will be completed on July 25, and classes will begin on July 30.
Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, told to media that, “Despite having 25 Lakh seats this year, only 1,672,153 students have passed. As a result, more than 800,000 seats will remain vacant. There will be competition for admission into the good colleges.”
