Grameenphone SIM Recharge, Call, Internet Service will shut for 5 hours

Mobile Recharge, Call, and Internet Service of GrameenPhone SIM will be shut down for 5 hours. During this time, only incoming call service will work, said the company.

Grameenphone, Bangladesh’s most popular Telecom Operator Company confirmed the information today (April 21). GP going to shut down their services for Technical Development work. The company already notifies its users with SMS and pop-up notices on the MyGP App.

As per the report, various services including Mobile Recharge, Call, and Internet Service will be shut for 5 hours. The company will stop these services on Sunday Night (April 22, 2024) from midnight to early morning. So, services including GP Internet will not work from 1 AM to 6 AM, as said on the notice.

During this time, users will experience outgoing calls, mobile recharge, and internet issues. However, there will be no interruption in incoming call service. All the services will work properly after 6 AM according to the announcement.

So, if anyone trying to make the call or use the Internet on GP SIM, they can’t do this during the Technical Development work. Users will not be able to use the mentioned services for 5 hours from 1 AM to 6 AM. Services will be back automatically after completing the Development works.

Note that, GrameenPhone announced the Minimum Recharge amount at 30 Taka on the first week of January this year. Later, the company withdraws the decision on January 10, 2024. GP withdrew the minimum recharge decision after a vast number of users started the Boycott Grameenphone trends on Facebook.
