A vast amount of users have started the ‘Boycott Grameenphone’ trend after the Bangladeshi most popular telecom operator company GrameenPhone increased the recharge amount for Prepaid Customers. The GP Minimum Recharge has been set at 30 Taka. The new rule will be rolling out from Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
The mobile operator company already sent the notification to the customer’s phone number. GP Prepaid customers are getting the SMS title GP Minimum Recharge 30 Taka via the GP Info.
It is said in the given SMS that, the Minimum Recharge of the GrameenPhone Prepaid has set at 30 Taka. The new rule will be applicable from Wednesday (January 10, 2024). Customers will not be able to recharge under 30 Taka, earlier it was 20 Taka. However, the Recharge offer and Scratch Card will be available under 30 Taka.
Meanwhile, the ‘Boycott Grameenphone’ hashtag and online event are trending on Social Media Platforms. A Facebook user named Almani Mostakim Tahsin has created an event on the platform. He wrote, “If you let him sit, he wants to sleep, GrameenPhone’s situation like this. They are doing wrong one after another with customers.”
Till now, the Boycott Grameenphone event huge responses. While writing the news, a total of 83,221 people are interested in the event and still counting. As a result, the thing became a trending topic after the Telecom Operator Company increased the minimum recharge limit.

Earlier, the minimum recharge amount was 10 Taka. But, the limit has changed on July 1, 2022. GrameenPhone has raised the minimum recharge limit at 20 Taka. The company has increased the recharge limit to 30 Taka after almost 18 months.
GP Customer will need to recharge at least 30 Taka from Wednesday (January 10, 2024). However, the Recharge offer and Scratch Card will be available under 30 Taka.
