The postponed 45 BCS Written Exam is to be held on the last week of January 2024. The date has been confirmed by PSC. Bangladesh’s Public Service Commission (PSC) thinks that the exam can be taken after the Election.
The information has been confirmed by a Policy Maker of PSC. He said that the 45th BCS Written Examination will be conducted after the 12th General Election. We assume that this exam will be taken at the end of January 2024. That could be between the 20th and 26th of January. PSC also prepared for the exam on this date, he added.
Earlier, Bangladesh’s Public Service Commission (PSC) postponed the 45 BCS Written Exam. A notice was issued on November 24, 2023, in this regard. According to the notice, the 45th BCS Examination to be held from November 27 to December 11 in all divisional cities has been postponed. The new date and time are to be announced timely on the official website at bpsc.gov.bd.
Before that, BPSC published the exam schedule for the 45th BCS Written Exam. However, some of the candidates appealed to the Chief Election Commissioner to cancel the exam due to the ongoing strike and blockade of the political parties. It is said that a total of 2,309 cadres will be recruited through the 45th BCS Notification. In addition, a total of 1,022 candidates will be taken in non-cadre. This is the first time that Bangladesh’s Public Service Commission (PSC) published this BCS Notification mentioning the number of Non-Cadre posts along with Cadre posts.
The 45th BCS Preliminary Exam was conducted on May 19, 2023. As per the report, a total of 77% of candidates appeared on the exam. Among them, 12,789 candidates are passed on the Preliminary Exam and selected for the Written Exam.
