The Facebook Log Out and Session Expired problem has been fixed. Meta’s two popular platforms Facebook and Instagram back online after 50 minutes and now working properly.
The incident took place on Tuesday (March 5, 2024) at around 9:40 PM. Millions of Facebook and Instagram users all over the world are experiencing the issue. The downtime indicator website shows that Facebook was down after 9:40 PM. Users are automatically logged out from Facebook and Messenger. Facebook App showed the “Session Expired, Please Log in Again” message at that time.
During the Facebook Downtime, users are experiencing many problems including automatic logging out from Facebook, unable to send messages on Messenger. On the other hand, when they try to log in using the right Email or Phone and Password, they see various messages such as, “Wrong Password, Something went wrong, and more”.
As per the report, the down monitor service called Downdetector reported the error today (March 5, 2024) at around 9:40 PM (GMT+6). They received more than 600,000 error logs during the first few minutes. Almost 90% of users experienced the Facebook and Messenger log-out issue.
“Facebook is down for required maintenance right now, but you should be able to get back on within a few minutes,” the message is displayed on Facebook when someone tries to log back in.
In addition, a large number of Instagram users reported the login problem at the same time.
” I am watching videos on Facebook App. But suddenly, it is showing session expired, please log in again message on my phone. I thought it would be normal. But when I input my phone number and Facebook Password, it showed “Something went wrong, Please Try Again”, a user told to Epi Express.
However, the Meta team has fixed the problem within 50 minutes. Now the Social Media Platform Facebook and its messenger app working properly.
Note that, this is the first time in 2024 that users have experienced the login and log-out issue. Moreover, the downtime was more than 50 minutes which is highest in the last few downtime.
