The crescent moon of the month of Shawwal was not sighted in Bangladesh sky. So, Eid Ul Fitr 2024 is to be celebrated on Thursday (April 11) in the country.
This decision was taken today (Tuesday, April 9) at the National Moon Sighting Committee meeting held in the evening at the meeting room of the Islamic Foundation in Baitul Mukarram. The meeting was presided by Faridul Haque Khan, Minister of Religious Affairs and President of the National Moon Sighting Committee.
Meanwhile, the Eid Ul Fitr Bangladesh date was mentioned in the Hindu Calendar. As per the calendar, the festival will fall on April 11, 2024, in Bangladesh which was created last year by Hindu Astrology.
Note that, Saudia Arabia, UAE, and other Middle Eastern countries will celebrate Eid on April 10, 2024. UAE has announced the date on Monday (April 8) through an official press release issued by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowment.
Eid is the biggest festival of the Muslim religious community all over the world. The first Eid is called Eid UL Fitr is celebrated after 29 or 30 days of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.
